 Most of the international organizations have, therefore, have taken serious steps towards human resources development in order to optimize the performance of their workforce. That involves distinguishing between the practitioners and scholars within a working environment. In the process, the organization can explore the potential of the different kinds of employees to groom them for maximum productivity. According to (Kormanik, 2009), practitioners and scholars differ in their performances in the field.

Despite being experts in their fields, they are different in various ways. For example, practitioners tend to be flexible and adapt to the working environment while scholars are always rigid. Moreover, practitioners are hands-on in their nature of work while scholars are factual and book work people. The practitioners do not fear to get their hands dirty in executing their duties. They are practicing professionals who use their hands to deliver services to other people or an organization. Scholars, however, are intellectuals who thrive in books and mastery of their subjects.

They exercise their professions by offering their expertise in the form of consultations. They work on the basis of giving solutions without undertaking any physical activity in their service delivery. Therefore, organizations should have a diversity of recruitment programs in order to accommodate the various professionals and experts with their differences
