? Healthcare Informatics - The Reassurance of Measles and the World Health Organization Introduction The healthcare practice guidelines have been significantly identified to incorporate adequate potentials for improving the service quality as well as the accountability of rendering effective clinical services. In relation to rapid advancements and continuous intervention of unconventional technological features, the global healthcare industry is experiencing a paramount position than any other business industry (World Health Organization, 2013). With this concern, the paper intends to identify and promote the information systems technologies, procedures and theoretical approaches applicable to a particular health problem. Besides, a detailed analysis of the issues in making better decisions especially on the selection, implementation and support of systems by various health organizations and departments would be taken into concern. Moreover, the discussion would also focus on assessing the current strategic procedures of the healthcare institutions for planning and managing informatics projects that ensures to meet clinical, compliance and financial needs of the organizations. Identification of Information Systems Technologies, Processes and Theories Applicable to a Healthcare Problem With reference to the empirical description of World Health Organization (WHO), measles has been identified as one of the highly transmittable viral diseases which affect mostly the children. However, according to the observation made by WHO, there does not lay any specific and appropriate treatment process for combating with measles and most of the patients suffering from this disease generally recover within two or three weeks from its inception (World Health Organization, 2013). Information Systems Technologies and Processes and Theories The intervention of modernized computer systems has been widely observed to provide adequate support to various healthcare institutions in terms of enhancing their clinical service and ensuring the protection of patients suffering from different diseases. In relation to the reassurance of measles, the incorporation of advanced database containing biomedical and rehabilitation information facilitates the practitioners to effectively deal with this particular disease. Moreover, the intervention of Computer Stored Ambulatory Record (COSTAR) system and Regenstrief Medical Record System (RNRS) also enables the physicians towards reassuring the recovery of measles at large. In order to determine the theories applicable to a specific healthcare problem, the integration of Health Evaluation through Logical Processing (HELP) can be regarded as one of the major aspects for the contemporary clinics to effectively address medical problems. The integration of this process enables the institutions to improve medication management along with reducing treatment costs of the clinics and the patients as well (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2002). Analyzing Issues important for Decision Making on the Selection, Implementation, and Support of Systems The selection, implementation and adequate support of systems of healthcare informatics have been recently observed to play a decisive role for different healthcare organizations. The organizations in this present healthcare industry are likely to select and implement the most appropriate technological aspects in order to increase the efficiency and accountability of their range of healthcare facilities. However, the decision making based on the aforesaid important often face various issues that have been analyzed in the following. Issues Important in Making Decisions The selection of appropriate technological features including infrastructure elements and other required tools along with applications in healthcare service often face with various sorts of issues. In this context, the selection of advanced technological elements can significantly create issues associated with convenience and costs that are incurred during the treatment process. In the context of infrastructure development, the intervention of advanced technological features in the clinical setting can reduce performances while providing treatment services to the patients. Therefore, the implementation of unconventional informatics can create the issue associated with accountability and acceptability of the technological aspects. Moreover, it can also reduce the management capability to develop effectual training and development based programs for the physicians, nurses and other members of the institutions. The issues concerning security and privacy can also be regarded as critical aspects that can hinder the organizations to provide exceptional and quality based service facilities to the patients suffering with measles (Health Service Research Information Central, 2013). It can be affirmed that the implementation of medical informatics treatment structure for measles can considerably reduce the organizational competencies to streamline the performance of other health departments (American Medical Informatics Association, 2013). Strategic and Tactical Process for Planning and Managing Informatics Project In order to meet the clinical, compliance and financial goals of the organizations, the development of policies encompassing the nursing roles can ensure to provide effective guideline to each member of the healthcare institutions. In this regard, the provisions concerning patient improvement process, installation of effective technology informatics systems and their effective utilization would deliver adequate support to the healthcare institutions to address measles within a particular community. On the other hand, the integration of advanced Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and other technological aspects would aid in planning and managing informatics project that comply with clinical, compliance and financial requirements of the organizations (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2002). Evaluation of the Present Trends and Technologies for Consumers and Service Providers The healthcare technologies along with medications, rehabilitation procedures and treatment facilities have rapidly transformed the present healthcare industry. In relation to the healthcare informatics for measles, various technology based strategies can be viewed to implement by the modern healthcare organizations to maintain adequate information regarding certain vital aspects. These aspects comprise the ailment, causes along with its prevention procedure and maintenance of databank systems among others (Greenway Medical Technologies Inc, 2012). Understanding the use of Technology in Education and developing Effective Online Research Presentation on the Status and Trends in Informatics In relation to the transformational changes and growing demands of the patient care services, the understanding of technology usage to deliver healthcare education is quite important for the service providers. In this regard, the deliverance of adequate information to various healthcare educational organizations can significantly provide the industry to prevent the agents of measles and their brutal affects in the communities assuring greater recovery of the diseases at large (Health Service Research Information Central, 2013). In relation to the present informatics trends, the promotion of advanced healthcare informatics associated with the implementation of modern technological elements and applications would further enable the practitioners and healthcare staffs to develop effective diagnostic rehabilitation process for measles. Furthermore, delivering online information associated with the causes of the ailment and maintaining data for patient safety would also provide adequate support in developing online research presentation (Health Service Research Information Central, 2013). Identification of the Emerging Technology that Could Alter or Enhance the Project In order to enhance the credibility and viability of the project, the integration of effective information and technological systems along with appropriate process of incorporating advanced technologies would facilitate WHO to meet the compliance and the clinical goals of the healthcare institutions. In this regard, the integration of COSTAR and RNRS could alter or enhance the viability of the project concerning the reassurance of measles. Moreover, the incorporation of effective strategies for developing better infrastructure facilities such as maintaining the record of the clinical processes would facilitate in identifying the driving agents of measles and implementing appropriate rehabilitation programs. Additionally, the installation of Digital Assistant Devices in the medication and patient improvement processes would further enable the organization to mitigate potential issues and enhance the project by a considerable level (Health Service Research Information Central, 2013). Conclusion In relation to the present day context, the integration of advanced information technologies in the healthcare industry can significantly provide effective support for the organizations to address potential threats generating from various sorts of ailments. It has been apparently observed that technology intervention process is widely accepted by various healthcare institutions in order to meet the requirements and the expectations of the clients. In this technologically advanced era, customers are likely to avail various facilities associated with their required medical services. In this regard, the clients generally desire to assess information related to the healthcare services through online and select appropriate medication or clinical services complying with their affordability and feasibility. Therefore, the organizations providing clinical service to the patients suffering with measles should highly focus on providing adequate information to the clients about the diagnostic and rehabilitation program along with facilitating them to obtain effective nursing facilities. Moreover, the organizations in the present developed healthcare industry can also be viewed to render adequate support to the clients in reducing potential threats that generate from the diseases of measles.
