Violence and Media Introduction In the recent years, media violence has created great impact on children and on the adolescent. Children who are exposed to television show the most are in the higher risk of media violence as well as aggressiveness (Levine, 2011). The illegal happenings such as murders and robbery are also a part of the media violence that is affecting the society. People sometimes perform the act of violence due to media influence. This paper intends to explain about the impacts of media violence in the society along with the responsibilities of people towards mitigating unethical practices. The paper elaborates the different views of author regarding media violence and its impact on the society. Moreover, reasons to make people aggressive along with the several activities, which are happening in the world today, are evaluated to determine media and violence. Annotation Journal: Huesmann, R. Mass media plays a vital role in the life of people as it provides information related to the different aspects of the society such as murder, robbery and female as well as child abuse. This journal also deals with media as it has the power to fight against the wrong acts for the improvement of the society and safety of the life of people long with children. The reason to select this article is that it matches with the research topic and provides information about the violence and media relation. In the recent trends, it can also be observed that due to the influence of media on behaviour of people is immense. Media violence affects the life of male as well as female by providing information regarding the society affairs. However, based on the United States studies along with other countries it can be evaluated that the relations among the media violence and aggression have greater effect on the life of boys rather than girls. Based on the shows of television and movies it can be found that there is a greater risk for children to become more aggressive than young people of society because they spent more time watching violence in television. Based on the second report, which is produce by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has cleared that media violence can be related with aggression but the evidence related to the media violence is not sufficient. The group of FTC pays more attention on the television violence for referring to the aggressive behavior and attitude of children. The reason to select this article is that it provides information about the television violence as well as media violence, which are related to the research topic. From this encyclopedia article, it can also be assessed that media violence affects not only the life of young people but also children. It makes people more aggressive, which is not good for the society. Therefore, adults should take the necessary steps for protecting life of children from the aggression. The television shows should promote educational program for increasing awareness and help in gaining information about world. Conclusion From the above discussion it can stated that adolescent and children are becoming aggressive due to influence of television shows and video games. Violence, drugs, sex and greed are the normal television show in the contemporary era creating a negative impact on people. Therefore, it effects on the study of children and on the other hand career of adolescent as it affects their mentality. From the above discussion, it can also be concluded that people of society should increase awareness regarding unethical activities of the society for the improvement of the society and for augmentation of the career of children and adolescent.
