English Project Proposal This paper will be focusing on the Emmanuel Kant critique of pure reason. The for this proposal will be an analysis of the argument that Kant uses to critique pure knowledge. This paper will use the text on page 411 of the Norton Anthology of theory and criticism by Vincent Letch alongside other books that talk of the same subject that are found on reference page.. This will be used together with other texts that talk about knowledge such Allisson book called ‘ Kant Transcendental Idealism.

The first thing that will be discussed in this paper is Kant’s rejection on the view of imperialism. Although Kant and Hume agree on the fact that knowledge have a priori, Kant does not agree with Hume on imperialism. The paper will analyze the basis of this rejection to show whether it is a sound argument. It will also review Kant’s views on transcendental knowledge. It will seek to show whether the senses do really represents the things as they are or as they appear to different people.

It will also closely examine the argument that Kant puts forth in his refutation of God’s existence through cosmological and entomological proof (Russell, 57). The paralogisms of pure reasons will also be clearly analyzed from all angles. Lastly the paper will focus on the history, rules and discipline of pure reason. This part will involve an analysis of how these different aspects affects knowledge. Work CitedAllison, Henry E. Kants Transcendental Idealism. Yale University Press. (2004).
