  • The innovative development of the Oral-Tech platform in the delivery of insulin should involve a strategy of overcoming the enzymatic as well as physical barriers. It is for this reason that the Oral-Tech platform will be based on a mechanism that takes steps to conserve bioactivity during the formulation process. In developing Oral-Tech systems with high bioavailability, the design will not only be interested in the convenience of oral insulin delivery but also capture aspects such as demands of stakeholders, market demands and size, and specific needs for end-users and innovators.

The comprehensive development of oral insulin delivery technology will encompass the integration of OraldelTM: Apollo Life Sciences, using our expertise and knowledge. However, our model integration, knowledge, and application of Oral-Tech will be in liaison with relevant regulatory measures, quality assurance parameters, and technical validity of regulatory documentation as it will be deemed appropriate in the process of operation.

For the completion of the project, table 1 below shows the list of agents, individuals, and parties concerned:

    Potential risk
One of the main challenges suggested above is that peptides and proteins such as insulin have become a challenge administering orally. This is brought due to the fact that there is rapid enzymatic degradation in the stomach, potential digestion by the proteolytic enzymes, inactivation in the intestinal lumen as well as poor permeability across intestinal epithelium (Carino et al. 2000).
