In this environment of skyrocketing prices of oil and electricity, alternative energy sources are beginning to enjoy a huge demand of their utilization globally. In specific, plentiful possessions are effortlessly reachable in nature, such as sunlight, water, wind, etc, that…
74-75). In the result, there has been significant increment in researches related to the advancements of alternative energy sources and their impact on different aspects of human life (Simon, pp. 19-22). In specific, it is observation that until now, researchers (EIA, pp. 11-15) have focused primarily on the impact of alternative sources on business environment or global economies. However, the proposed research will go into a micro perspective while emphasizing on the impact of one of the alternative sources on the lives of average American people, and the effectiveness of such source in terms of its prices as compared to existing available sources. From this aspect, the proposed research will focus on the following research statement:
Studies have shown that fossil fuels are playing a leading role in fulfilling majority of the energy’s requirements on global level. In specific, it fulfills more than seventy percent of the world’s energy demand (Ahmed & Anderson, pp. 240). However, analysis (Solarbuzz, 2009) has indicated that alternative energy sources are now heading toward competing with the fossil fuels in the form of solar, hydropower, nuclear, hydrogen fuel, ethanol, etc (World Bank, pp. 1-5). One of the major factors of increment in the demand of alternative energy sources is rapid reduction in fossil fuels. For instance, countries are now putting efforts to use solar energy sources to reduce the expensive costs related to the usage of fossil fuels, especially, oil that is an expensive energy source, as compared to the solar energy sources.
In the United States, the government is currently depending on fossil fuels to fulfill more than eighty-five percent of its demand of energy; however, alternative energy sources are contributing to only ten percent of the requirement, and solar energy only five percent (SEA, 2007). Thus, it has now become very imperative to ...

According to the paper the concept of sustainable development found in the topic of environmental conservation, is a well known international issue, found in various aspects of international legal instruments which relate to economics, human rights and environmental issues. Even though, this concept is not explicitly described, it has indeed become a crucial factor towards the development of international environmental policies, and as having critically influenced the existing policies on environmental issues.
Saudi Arabia has been reassuring the world about the enormity of oil reserves in the capacity of owner of the biggest oil terminal in the whole world i.e. Ras Tanura (Maass 1) while the world has generally remained skeptical about the assertions of Saudi Arabia.
The problem with oil has been its reliability in terms of supply and price, with the latter often experiencing abrupt changes because of crises in exporting countries (on a national and international nature). Moreover, the fact that oil is a natural-occurring commodity threatens its perpetual supply.
In order to reduce cases of global warming, people have opted in using alternative sources of energy. It is important to note that the search for safer, cleaner, cheaper, more reliable sources of energy and effective ways of using it binds together countries all over the world, rich and poor, large and small.
Moreover, numerous conflicts have arisen due to the increasing demand for energy. Most of the current energy sources are not sustainable and their usage results in excessive pollution in addition to global warming. There is thus need for alternative energy sources to resolve the existing energy conflicts.
This has called for the use of alternative sources of energy as opposed to the natural sources, fossil fuels, which are coal, oil and natural gas which most researchers in this field present in a concordance voice. This paper, therefore, presents how environmental pollution can be minimized by the use of alternative sources of energy.
This dependency on oil to solely fuel nations has led to what is called oil based world economy (Kumhof & Dirk 20). Not all counties have this reserve and this is where the challenge comes in. Very few countries are able to harness oil and due to the increase in its demand each year due to increase in population, the price of oil has been on an increase steadily over the years.
The main advantage is low cost and environmentally friendly design of collectors. Thesis Wind energy is one of the most cost effective solutions to traditional resources like coal, oil or nuclear power.
The threat of future shortages of liquid and gaseous fossil fuels can be relieved to some extent by converting coal to oil and gas.
