Though others may still prefer career growth, there is a notable change of priorities among people of the “third age”. In one of the interviews conducted, the subject is quite fulfilled with the social interactions that she experiences at home that she gives more emphasis on the benefits (i.e. joys, respect and getting her mind sharp) that she gains from her children and grandchildren than the “nagging pains” that keep her at home.
