• Pesticide Exposure – Organic products are grown free from the use of synthetic pesticides, while in the case of conventional, synthetic pesticide use is accepted.
• Use of Synthetic Fertilizers – The use of petroleum-based fertilizers or sewage sludge-based fertilizers is highly prohibited in organics and widely used in conventional organics
• Organic farming keeps the water safe and healthy-Conventional farming methods wreak havoc on our environment, mainly our water supply. There has been widespread water contamination via pesticides.

• Heavy Metals & Contaminants – Organic products do not contain traces of heavy metals or other contaminants at high levels. Conventional products usually contain large amounts of harmful substances (Goel, 2006).

Toxic and conventional organs in relation to water
Organic farming protects water from harmful chemicals, and it is also known that organic farmers spend time using the soil correctly and inculcating less evasive farming practices, like buffer strips and cover crops which help in conserving water resources, though indirectly. Major water pollution is usually caused by runoff from non-organic farms. These runoffs comprise animal waste, harmful pesticides and toxic fertilizers. Organic farming is the best way to ensure clean water systems (Goel, 2006). Algal blooms are a major water-based problem.
