If the arrow is static at any moment in time, it does not move. This approach suggests that all movements are static. Moreover, according to Zeno, the flying arrow takes the same place at every moment of time. If the arrow takes the same space at every moment of time which is instant, it does not move at all. This paradox was objected to by Aristotle who argued that Zeno's paradoxes were now true.

They sound weird today because time is treated as a flow and every action takes some time to happen; accordingly, every motion is dynamic. However, if to think in the conditions given by Zeno, his paradoxes make some sense. Time treated as a plurality of instant moments reasons the claim that the flying arrow is motionless.
