Reflections: Good and Bad Decisions The kind of decision we make, together with the way we solve our problems, talks much about the level of maturity. Both bad and good decisions that we get ourselves making are influenced by internal and external factors that surround us. One of the best decisions I ever made is to join college for my undergraduate course. I made this decision amid negative influence from my peer. In addition, I was under pressure as a couple of my friends failed to join college to engage in business where they were making a lot of money.

I reached the decision to join college after weighing various matters around my life. I considered all stake holders’ opinions in this decision. Most important, I weighed various options that I got. Then I considered my alternatives and their merits and demerits. Since joining college had more merits, especially considering that it is in line with my future endeavors, I picked it and proceeded with joining college. The worst decision that I made was to pick a certain behavior-I would not mention it since it is too personal.

The decision was mainly influenced by my peers as most of them were engaging in it. As such, I felt a sense of non-belonging. I succumbed to peer-pressure and joined in the behavior. The worst part of this decision is that I failed to consult my seniors or even to engage my consciousness in the decisions. Though I came to rectify my behavior, the decision attracted a lot of reprimands from my parents and other members of the society.
