Use bold print but use it sparingly to emphasize key terms or results. Describe how the information might influence your career choices, personal relationships, study habits, work or health. For reference, this paragraph is 54 words long. You will need to get to the point. You will be graded using the rubric posted in D2L. Finish with a concise, well-thought out synopsis. You will lose points for platitudes or redundancy. For maximum points, take a draft of your paper, these instructions, your completed assessments and the grading rubric to a writing tutor. A list of resources on campus is posted in D2L in the Self-Assessments content. EAS Temperament Report your results on all five aspects. How can this information be helpful to you? Has this information changed your behavior or mental processes? If yes, how? This may exceed 100 words. This information can be useful to me because I will be able to know my EAS temperament. My EAS Temperament results are pretty different with these average scores from American people. This is because of my different culture and background. My distress score is one point higher than the mean score, and it means I am easily distressed. My fearfulness score is also one point greater than the average score. Although my fearfulness score is much higher than average, I like to watch scary movies with my friends sometimes; therefore, I doubt the accuracy of this subject. My anger score is extremely close to the average score which means I am pretty similar with most male Americans. I have two low scores in activity and sociability, and both of the scores are below the average scores. Moreover, I do not like to go to parties very often, and I hate activities. Most aspects of the test results are very accurate, but the fearfulness aspect is not correct. Additionally, I know most of this information; therefore, it is not very helpful to me. This information has also not changed my behavior or mental processes; as the reveal my true nature. Parental Authority Questionnaire On permissive style, my parents scored 22 points. On authoritarian style, they scored 39 and on authoritative parenting, and they scored 41. The test results are correct, and this implies that my parents employed all the parenting styles. However, the results portray a clear picture of my parents as firm and in control of their children’s behavior. This information is very helpful for it will guide me in the future when I have children. Life Expectancy Calculator According to the tests results I have a life expectancy of 70.04 years. I fall under lower quartile that means I have 75% chance of living longer than 70.04 years. My analysis results of exercising indicate that my life expectancy is 0.94 years longer. Moreover, my analysis on food suggests that if I consume all the five types of food daily than my life expectancy will be 1.05 years longer. This test will influence my lifestyle, career and the job occupation that I may engage in future. Presently, I will engage in physical activities and a balanced diet. Why I Might Want (or Might Not Want) to Have Children If you already have children, answer what you like best (or like least) about being a parent. I want to have children because I believe that they are a blessing. I envision my future life with a family where I can bring up my children the same way my parents did. I feel that being a parent is a great responsibility, but it brings joy and satisfaction in someone’s life. I look forward to being a figure of authority and establish policies that will be followed by the children. Sensation Seeking Scale My boredom susceptibility is very low. This means that I engage in activities that are exciting. In dis-inhibition, I performed low. This means that I disregard impulsivity, social conventions and am poor in risk assessment. My score for experience, thrill and adventure seeking are also below average. Most of them are correct apart from the experience seeking. I do not believe that I fear to engage in tasks that will provide empowerment. Desirability of Control According to the outcome, I have average results as per my desire of control. I am not in control in most events of my life, and I need to work on this area. This is going to affect the way I behave and how I handle situations. This test is of importance to me because it has challenged me to engage in situations that are challenging so that I can develop the appropriate skills of being in control of situations. Need for Achievement The test results score implies that am in average need for achievement. I do not agree with this interpretation because I feel that I have the right amount of motivation to achieve most things in life ranging from my studies and personal life. This information is not helpful because it will not change the way I think neither my conduct. Stress Analysis All the results from the various stress self-analysis tests indicate that I manage my stress properly. This lesson is very important because I have learned different ways of determining my stress levels. I have also realized the specific areas that contribute to my stress. I have also known that the food that I eat contributes to stress. This will change the way I perceive life and the activities I get involved and the content of my diet. The tombstone I have learned that it is vital to continue with good deeds to serve as a memory. Biofeedback Exercise Remember to report the typical color of your biopatch, what activities affected it and what you conclude from the exercise. The typical color of my biopatch is turquoise that represents relaxing. The activities that affect it include outdoor activities such as diving which aroused stress. I experience less stress while I engage in watching movies and eating. I conclude that my environment greatly affects the level of stress. This can indicate that I should avoid circumstances that I am not comfortable with. Implicit Associations The results suggest that I identify more with happy than sad and strongly favor medication over therapy in treating mental illnesses. The test also proposed that I moderately relate dangerous more with mentally ill people than physically ill people. I am a moderate consumer of low-fat foods than high-fat foods, and I slightly identify more with anxious than calm. My data results indicate that I slightly identify more with drinking than abstaining. Moreover, the information indicates little or no difference in my identification with good or bad. This has changed the how I think about myself. A/B/C Personality My personality is type B that attracts personality from other personality types which is Type A and C. This important to me because I have realized that I can change my behavior; according to the situation and I can be moderate in my attitudes. Furthermore, I am grateful because I am more balanced of the three personality types. NeoPersonality Inventory Describe your results on all five dimensions. This may exceed 100 words. I have average scores in all five dimensions, which are neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, openness, and conscientiousness. In extraversion part, I have high-level assertiveness and activity level, but low-level gregariousness and cheerfulness. In agreeableness part, only two low-level parts are morality and cooperation, but I do not agree with this result. I am a good team player. Moreover, I also do not agree that I have low-level morality. This is because I have high moral standards. In the conscientiousness section, I have a high level of cautiousness, but low level of achievement striving and orderliness. I think I should have a high level of achievement striving because I have a strong desire about achievement. In the neuroticism part, I have a high level of depression and vulnerability, but a low level of immoderation and anger. In the openness part, I have a low level of imagination and adventurousness. Most of them are on the average level. Emotional Intelligence I am above average on emotional intelligence and average on body language intelligence. I am good at comprehending, interpreting and reacting to emotions. I am also good in managing emotional, social conflict and communicating the way I feel. This is very helpful because I will focus on my strengths and look for ways to develop and implement the skills. I will also concentrate on my weaknesses to find methods of growing and learning and I need to work more on perfecting my skills on body language intelligence. I will also participate in empathy training tools to promote my emotional intelligence. Multiple Intelligences The scores prove that I have the best intelligence in math/logic. I like to have some time on myself and contemplate on things which are an indication that I have an excellent sense of self. In spatial intelligence, I have performed well; this means that I can visually recall things in details including accurate shapes and sizes of objects. The other intelligences in order are nature, body movement, social, musical and language. This information is very accurate, and I will work towards improving the intelligences and will change the social activities that I engage myself. Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale My score indicates that I possess normal anxiety levels. This proves that I am faced with the same worries as my colleagues from other races. This also proves that I am living a normal life for my age. This can also indicate that I do not give much thought to things that are beyond control which is a good thing. This will influence me to maintain the same attitude towards events and situations. Depression Scale The depression scale suggests that I am not likely to suffer from a depression disorder. This gives me the motivation to look at life the way I do. I have also learned that I should avoid negative thoughts and feelings. This result will not affect the way I behave though it is helpful. I will always focus on the things that are important in my life and ignore the rest. Synopsis In fewer than 150 words, summarize any personal insights or underlying themes in the assessment of your personality. I am a normal young man faced with challenges and fears that are common to people of my age. I have also discovered that am just like any other man from any part of the world. I have realized that I have areas that I am good at, average and others below average. During the assessment, my scores were greatly influenced by social setting of the questions. An excellent example is seen in the bio-feed exercise, where the color of bio-patch is affected by my stress levels. According to Kassin, Fein, and Markus (2013), social relationships are important to human beings, and they are influenced by the social environment they find themselves in (Kassin, Fein & Markus 4).
