Mother's Day - Speech or Presentation Example

Psalms 118 verse 24 says; this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. We have met today to rejoice with each and every mother in the world. Words alone cannot express the effort our mothers put into developing society. I will always love the fact that our mothers have nurtured and given us a chance to enjoy our lives. In Proverbs 31 verse 15-17 it is written that she gets up early while it’s still dark and provide for her family. Mothers are appreciated in the bible because of the sacrifices that they make.

Mothers don’t complain as they patiently take care of children. It is, therefore, right for children to obey their parents, because the lord says so in Colossians 3:20. A good son or daughter will obey his or her mother because she knows what is best for them. It is because of our mothers that we have met in a church to praise the Lord. In Ephesians 6:1-2, it is said that children, obey your parents because it is the first commandment with a promise.

In commemoration of this amazing day, I would like to thank my mother. I will always love her for what she raised me to become and not how she raised me. I hope all of the individuals present would learn to appreciate their mothers.
