The place and significance of the Prophet Mohammad in antiquity is connected to the establishment of religious society on the basis of Islam and the social foundations developed on the proclamation of the Quran, which is the book of God revealed upon Prophet Mohammad. Body According to Muslims belief, Mohammad is the last in the line of numerous Prophets sent to the world. Although he was not the founder of Islam but he was a reviver of Islam. Muslims, all over the world, admire him as a glorious Prophet but they also clarify that he is not God and was mortal. Prophet Mohammad has spread the message of Islam in every alcove of the world where ever he reached: The message of God’s oneness. For Muslims, he is the perfect man and the archetype of all good and his life and practices are sources of Muslim inspirations. Following lines depict importance of Prophet Mohammad to Islam and Muslims. Prophet Mohammad as a Messenger of God: The first revelation came upon Prophet Mohammad when he was in the cave of Hira (Muhammad 125). After that the revelations continued to come over upon him for the next 26 years and collected in the form of Quran. Prophet Mohammad was a true messenger of God and a messenger of Divine revelation. Allah had chosen Prophet Mohammad to be his last and greatest Prophet of the perfect religion among all other Prophets disclosed earlier.
