The hiring of employees will be based solely on competency, qualification, experiences, and other factors that are only related to the job. 
Within the company, the company can promote a non-discriminatory culture in its effort to end discrimination.  They can incorporate or adopt it as one of the company cultures not to discriminate, in any form, whether explicit or subtle.  This policy should also be reinforced by concrete action of the HRD department that includes penalties if there are complaints about discrimination to send the message that the company does not tolerate discrimination.  It would also help promote non-discriminatory policy and practice by including this policy in the orientation of employees.

Also, businesses can further end discrimination by not considering the same discriminatory factors in the promotion of their employees.  All promotions in the company will be considered solely by merit. 

When the company has successfully adopted non-discriminatory practices in their organization, it did not only help end discrimination but also empowered its employees which would have been otherwise discriminated against without such non-discriminatory policy and practices in place. Read More
