Mental illness can affect a person of any class at any age regardless of religion affiliation, earning or even superiority. As in contrast to most society, mental illness should not be treated as a curse (Thompson 1). It can also not be, as a result, of how individuals interact with the environment in regard to social and economical factors.
There are a number of body feelings that can be classified as mental disorders. Some of which includes; trauma, brought by stress, depression, panic disorder, and border line personality disorder amongst others. These illnesses can cause much trauma to the victims. One major aspect that needs to be noted is that most mental illnesses can be cured. When a person has been diagnosed with mental illness, one can experience relief as he makes the arrangements to organize for a medical plan.
Treatment of mental illness is not purely based on medication alone. There are some additional concepts such as incorporation of psychological treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and indulgence through peer groups and communal services, which can also take the role of mental illness recuperation (Thompson 1). A person who suffers from mental illness is at the risk of being over indulgent in crime and substance abuse, and this, in most cases, complicates treatments. To some extents, people who have been diagnosed of such diseases may attempt to commit suicide.
Because of the numbers of changes that may affect the legal rights of patients. Care given to most of the persons suffering from mental illness has so far been moved from hospital based to community center system. This, however, still comes in with a number of issues. For instance, neglect for the meaning of illness. Most people with mental illness may face abandonment by the community (Herman 323). People should be able to think about mental illness like any other health condition and bring
