This research will begin with the statement that discrimination is a result of people grouping themselves into cliques who share a common interest. They may share a common culture, gender, race or even social status. These social distinctions tend to shape the lives and to think of people towards certain extremes. Race refers to a group of people who have differences in their biological traits viewed to be socially significant by the society. For instance, Caucasian or the blacks whose physical appearance differ. Ethnicity, on the other hand, refers to shared cultural practices, perspectives, and distinctions that set apart a group of people from another. The racial differences include different eye color or skin color. Though intensive campaigns against racial discrimination have taken place, racial discrimination still takes place in our societies. The Martin Luther King dream of people not being discriminated based on their skin color. The government also banned slave trade in the past because it was inhuman to the blacks. The most common ethnic discrimination is differences in the language, religion, and form of dressing. Long ago, people’s skin color formed the basis of discrimination. African-Americans faced segregation from the society were not viewed as intellectuals. Differences in political standing and beliefs lead to ethnic divisions. Brook’s article reckons in Washington Democratic lawyers live in suburban Maryland, and Republican lawyers reside in suburban Virginia. He quotes, ‘to group themselves with people who are basically like themselves’ even in their workplaces.The two differ in their opinion on the political basis. The Democrats’ believe the government should play a role in caring well for their citizens even if it means paying more taxes. They uphold the principle pay-to-make policy. Democrats also support legalization to protect gays and lesbian marriage. Some not all believe same-sex marriage should be legal. On the other hand, Republicans think the government should have limited roles in our daily life.

Although, this happens there are ways in which the scenes have changed. What used to be seen as deviant in earlier decades is not the same as what is seen as deviant in the current films or television episodes. The media in this case the television has a significant role to play in terms of race and ethnicity.
The perceived differences are usually based on color, ethnicity, nationality, nation of origin, language, religion, and dress. A look into the reasons behind racial discrimination points towards biological, social, physical, psychological and historical factors.
The differences created between mankind on the basis of race and gender can be traced back to many years. Some literature suggests that back in the 1800s segregated schools for students of different races existed (Saney , 1-4). However, the issue of racial and ethnic discrimination was highlighted the most during the Hitler regime and his hatred against the Jews, which is believed to have led to the infamous holocaust.
Television in contemporary times has evolved as a highly consistent albeit repetitive medium of entertainment with a mix of shows presented primarily as entertainment, yet have a deep meaning impact on the manner in which our lives are governed and shaped.
On the other hand, race refers to biological subspecies that consist of individuals with similar biological traits that are socially significant distinguishable from other races. Racial distinction is on basis of skin color, color of the hair, and other specific facial features that cluster in to a single distinct group of people.

It mainly focuses on Sudan, which is one of the underdeveloped countries.This narrative conveys how children who suffer from autism have often been negatively represented in the professional literature and the popular media.
Members of a racial group use ethnic symbols as a method of identification, since this helps in creating a distinction between them, and other racial groups. These badges can either be their style of dressing, language and religion (Flax, 36). Biological characteristic such as the color of their skin is also an important indicator of a racial group.
However, the stories of these uprooted people are always not ornamented with glittering dreams and joyous heart. Behind their peppy talk and sunny smile are the hidden stories of endless tears, countless fears, pang of being discriminated as something inferior and most importantly to spend years in a state where they are neither properly aware of their culture nor have been able to transport themselves completely into the United States of America culturally or mentally.
