In Your Eyes Introduction This is the latest film that was Joss Whedon and has been filmed this year. This is a film about two souls that are unconnected and from different direction of the United States. They come together and make a bond that is telepathic which allows them to hear, feel and see the experience of each other. In the end this experience creates a bond that is strong and apparently cannot be broken. The writer gives an image of life by a feminine actor that is withered away in parties and lonely nights as a soft-spoken, sheltered wife of a doctor who is very successful. On the other side of the country is another man who is a charismatic ex-con Dylan. He is struggling to get a step and rebuild his life from a start in a fresh way. When these two people realized that they shared a connection that is inexplicable, a romance that is unique and metaphysical starts in them. (Whedon) The film that was premiered this year at Tribeca Film Festival and available online was produced by Buffy the Vampire Slayer who was the director of Avenger. However, the film In Your Eyes was directed by Brin Hill. The film has a content of sort of fantasy, sort of science fiction and filled with a bizarre of love story. In your eyes film is similar to watching a couple of crazy people who are wondering around for hours in a world that has not accepted them. They only come to be justified when they recognize themselves of their sane and view of everyone else as being wrong. Although it may be seen as surprising, the entire view is very simple at heart. Whedon uses gender in its innate feeling and version to provide the psychological aspect and understanding that is diverse between the two sexes. He also brings the connection and importance in sexuality to assisting one another realize their misjudgments and wrong views to come to the reality of what life is. Objective Analysis The aspect of love that connects deep through two people of different sex give a picture of deep bonding and how it automatically comes to play. Bond sharing with another person in day to day activities may seem to be very difficult. The imagination of a deeper connection with someone through seeing into his eyes and chatting though you are afar without the use of a phone. The availability of each other and literally being in their mind whenever the need be was how deeper they were connected. This gives a clear picture of the world today where technology stands in to break loneliness by connecting people and creating a bond that is lacking due to commitments. First the issue of involvement was of the highest order before the production of the film as detailed by the director. Although the intention of Whedon was to come up with a good movie, the film had to take a different perspective. Whedon’s last shot known as Much Ado About Nothing was to be evaluated and much focus was trimmed to Much Ado’s ghost. There is also a sense of style. This is seen through the romance that is in its supernatural. The film induces some of Buffy’s emotional life using staffs that are supernatural in order to talk about real issues. The character of Rebecca is more Fred or Willow than Buffy for the first instant of her in the film. This is because much of her life was cloistered by a mother who was over protective and a husband whose reaction is more of a parent than that of a partner. Whedon-esque comes in when Rebecca who was treated as fragile the entire life time and could realize when she was wrong meets Dylan who was more quip-prone. They are able to share connect and share psychic link. This makes them realize that they can share other senses which involves hearing the saying of the other despite living far apart and never met each other. This results to touching and hilarious moments that is depicted in a scene where Dylan slaps himself to indicate slapping Rebecca. They progress in their relationship until the two find themselves linked psychically in mutual masturbation. Watching the film creates an atmosphere of shame, nudging and a feeling not to watch the scene which is not definitely a typical masturbation scene. This is depicted through social involvement of people who are in a long distance relationship in a manner that is very different. This depicts the society and the needs that drive deep in human which are not displayed outside but in their own cocoons are brought out and affect the self esteem. There is no typical Whedon-esque mythology on how the selection of the two soul mates by the universe and how they were able to identify each other. This portrays a lot of shit that is inexplicable in the world today which is not known by many. The film creates an atmosphere of suspense making the audience be expecting the worst to happen in the way the chemistry takes place between the main actors. Whedon creates a number of great surprise stuff to keep the viewers glued to the screen. The main actors are locked up and have no way of convincing anyone of their connection. This is created through being imaginary after all the scenarios. This film gives the scenario of gender and women in connection to historical and cross-cultural perspectives. The emphasis is put in the diversity of sexuality in the gendered lives with respect to personal mentality in connection to the social attractions and desires. The writer uses the context of Asian American women that examines socio - historical perspective autobiography, critical writing and fictional science. He explores the concerns of cultural and personal identity in the society as both American and Asian, as minority, as of different gender and subject to post - colonialism. Whedon also examines gender in connection to other categories that are very critical experience and social identity. These connections are tailored in relation to community, humanities, queer theories and self – sufficiency errors. The director mixes the voice of the Whedon with naturalistic aesthetic in order to create an unconventional release. The film is fairly ambitious and its shooting is quick and requires less financial input. The complication of the film is brought about by its tone. Whedon has a funny tone and a clever voice hence the connection of the tone is to create an enjoyable experience in the creation of the movie. This was tailored into skirting the line of a love story telling in an earnest way that is real. This is very different from the known traits and style of Whedon in his former movies that he was involved in. However, though this strategy the message of the film was brought out in a clear and best approach to reach the audience. The film is casted in a Zoë and Joss found it normal routes that are eschewed. He depicts a mixture of charisma and believability in earnestness in a cowboy like role. The idea was brought about through suggestions given out in different ways. The ideas resulted to the creation of a scene that connects with the audience in a way that is very meaningful. The birthed form of attracting the audience was made tangible to break into the film market that was independent. Conclusion The creation of films in the twentieth first century was based on several issues that affected the society. The crucial issue depicted in the film was the creation of the social movies with the depiction of human behavior as complex and not easy to be comprehended. The post commitment films reduced the use of cinematic scenes and increased use of reality psychological approach in film. However, the films handled issues affecting the society in a conclusive and elaborate way. Many script writers developed films based on environment and other social evils. The major focus of the films of the era was on mental immoralities with the depiction of the society as the major casualty in the process. The development of the films was a way of confronting the traditional moral values with the hope of elaborating or discrediting them. The major role of the films in the era was to establish new values in the society. The vital value depicted by the films was the need for peace and coexistence. The film; In Your Eyes is very different because it captures the social evils in the society by addressing issues of family and upbringing. Whedon’s character is shaped by the events in his life which leads to the creation of negative event. The judgmental nature of the society is depicted in the pay through the actions of the people and highlights the power of wrong perception in shaping the behavior of the members. Consequently, the case of Whedon as a Dylan is a clear indication of the power of perception on action and acceptance. In conclusion, the title of the movie is ironical based on the plot and the behavior of the characters. The desire for personal gratification is depicted through the behavior of Rebecca. This movie is created to be enjoyed by the people in order to create an opportunity to cast the possible net that is wide in the context of hallucination and illusion.
