According to (Smith, 78), the establishment of Bauhaus was the sole reason for creating the highest level of expertise and design work thus converting mere craftsmen into accomplished artists. The process of conversion from a craftsman to an artist would be possible through the inclusion of inspiration, love, and faith. Notably, teaching arts combine a mix of talent, passion, and selflessness that is only possible through the creation of a perception like faith or religion (Taylor, 38).

Traditionally, it consumes sometimes and dedication for a craftsman to assume control of his artistic skills. It further demands grace notably from heaven to facilitate the change of the work into art. Bauhaus was destined to create an existence of proficiency amongst the students so as the achieve gesamtkunstwerk (Smith, 88).

For Bauhaus to achieve gesamtkunstwerk amongst its students, it would create or nurture a continuous and existent environment of creative imagination by facilitating eruption or genesis point of creativity. Creativity comes from within, but it must be nurtured and continuously watered to ensure the acquisition of competent and appreciated artwork. According to Gropius, an established difference between craftsmen and artists was should not border in the bounds of arrogance and class but only in the level of accomplished output level. He calls on the fraternity of Bauhaus to create a new group or guild of craftsmen based on a clear and well outlined (Smith, 97).

The call creates a ringing version on Bauhaus students to conceive and generate new construction of the prospective future that embraces a combination of architecture, painting, and sculpture in an expounded single unity that may rise in days to come for heaven. It creates a symbolic essence that merges up to form features similar to those of a million workers assumed in the crystal symbol nature of a new faith base. The clear notation of the current craftsmanship emerges from the realization that future applications mainly entail mass production and a high industrial production basis (Taylor, 34).

In conclusion, Gropius's statement regarding the craftsmen and artists required the craftsmen to input passion, dedication, faith, and anything entailed. The aim of that is to ensure nurturing of excellent and laudable skills in their segment of activities thus highlighting the crucial difference between a craft person and an artist. The application of Gropius's statement informs that a school of design should acquire faculty pure of creativity and other disinterested artists, for instance, the easel painter creating the spiritual center point for the practical technician to form an integrated mix between them.
