The paper “Alibaba - Human Resource Management under the Core Values of Chinese Culture” is a breathtaking example of human resources dissertation. HRM plays a key role in building up the organizational structure such that the employees are able to perform better. It is the duty of the HR managers to train the employees so that they are able to understand the requirement of the organization. In this case, the researcher has considered the impacts of Chinese core values on Alibaba and the initiatives taken by Jack Ma to set up a successful business.

The researcher has used an inductive approach in this case because it has enabled the researcher to carry out a case study analysis of Alibaba. The case studies and the interview transcriptions help the researcher to develop an idea regarding the performance initiatives undertaken within Alibaba. It has been determined from the study that the HR management in Alibaba depends on Chinese culture and the ideas provided by the Chinese philosophers. A comparison has been made regarding the work culture in Alibaba and that of the Western companies and it was derived that there is a huge difference and Alibaba has been successful by following its traditional culture.

The literature review has discussed the ideologies of different philosophers regarding the Chinese culture and the impact of this culture on the performance of the companies in the international market. The value system in China is based on loyalty and hardworking which would enhance the performance of the organizations. The philosophers suggest that the employees within the organizations are expected to maintain a harmonious culture such that the tasks are performed in collaboration with the team members.

The Middle Way thinking is based on the strategies adopted by the managers for the benefit of the organization. As per the research, the Chinese leaders apply unique leadership strategies in order to raise the efficiency of the employees and to meet the objectives set by the organization. Moreover, the people in China are also in support of the changes that take place within the organizations.
