Download file to see previous pages This work employs a doctrinal or conceptual approach to analyze the extant condition of a miscarriage of justice in respect of female victims. In this endeavor, I aim to scrutinize several shortcomings in the legal procedures, relating to female victims.

In addition, I have examined several scholarly works relating to the implications of a miscarriage of justice in respect of female victims. Moreover, I have analyzed the relevant literature in respect of the topic in question.

Furthermore, the feature of this methodology is that it discovers what is happening; seeks out new insights; poses questions as well as evaluates those observations. The conclusions that are drawn are based on the facts unearthed in the research.

The research tools employed were doctrinal and conceptual. The conceptual approach helps us to understand various ideas underpinning the problem of miscarriages of justice in respect of female victims. Secondary sources were employed to collect the relevant information. Such sources reveal the latest information in a wider context so that the researcher obtains the latest information in the chosen field of study. To this end, I have consulted various books, authentic websites, online libraries, public documents, journals, and extant literature by a number of scholarly luminaries. The results of this study are based on a qualitative investigation of the issues relating to miscarriages of justice.

How is a miscarriage of justice manifested?
How does miscarriage of justice affect individuals in general and women in particular?
How can miscarriage of justice be prejudicial to justice?
How is this issue of a miscarriage of justice being addressed?

Literature Review
The major difficulty associated with criminology is that its scholars limit their study to the habits and activities of males. No reason has ever been given for this prejudicial approach. One of the principal causes for such restrictions on men is that there is a considerable body of literature and voluminous data, which clearly demonstrate that women are significant laggards in comparison to men when it comes to criminal activity.

The Englishman stands condemned for being dastardly in the extreme. It is commonplace in English law for females to be inflicted with a much harsher punishment than men for the same offence. For instance, 94% of convictions for women are for minor offenses. The corresponding ratio for men is 76%. All the same, the number of women who have been incarcerated has increased by 68%; whereas, the number of imprisoned men has increased by just 35%.
