The paper “Black Points in Traffic Law in UAE” is a dramatic example of the law research proposal. Many years back when the only cars in a village were the chiefs and the police officers, there was no need for intense traffic laws. Before then there were wagons and chariots, those did not have much danger. Over the years, the story has changed and the world as if it were not for the laws it would be mayhem on the highways. Cars grew popular and to ensure safety local governments set regulations to limit the excessive accidents that had been growing by the day. The establishment of traffic laws came as a preventive and safety measure by governments for the protection of their citizens. These rules form a major part of the sets of rules for many states.

The United States was the first to implement the laws in 1901, specifically New York State. The first was the registration of automobiles, which was mandatory for all drivers. William P. Eno is known as the father of traffic safety after writing a book “Rules of the Road” in 1903. In his book, he presented many regulations most of which were adopted by many states in the world but mostly the West (Yagil, 2004).

Types of Traffic Laws
There are many categories of traffic laws according to different governments most of which are codified. The United Kingdom has the Highway Code and the United States have their respective traffic codes. Further categorizations are laws regarding moving and non-moving violations (Yagil, 2004).

The Role of Traffic Laws in the Economy
This is part of the justification of the study. It discusses the economic role of the motor industry in the economy. Traffic laws help a government keep the citizen's keener on the road and for them to be more informed about traffic rules and signals. This ensures a safer nation, which means the working population is maximized since the death toll due to fatal accidents is reduced. According to government statistics, 1,053 people met their death via road accidents in UAE in 2007 (Roberts, 2008). This means a considerable loss to the growth of any economy.
