Introduction Howard University is one of the most reputed and a federally chartered, coeducational, private, nonsectarian university established in Washington, United States. It is such a type of institution comprising of experienced and dynamic faculties presenting quality education since 1867 to its students so as to retain its image worldwide. Along with this, they also desire to maintain a professional relationship within its students and faculties so that a professional bounding can be maintained. Moreover, the aim of the university is to connect the life of the students with their minds, the heart of a tradition, and the soul of a students and staffs (Howard University, n. d.). Key objective of this study is to highlight the positive impacts of professionalism culture among students, faculties and staffs so as to improve organizational performance and image. Apart from this, it also tries to highlight the effectiveness of finance and operational decisions regarding the enhancement of the University in long run (Howard University, n. d.). Road Map of the plan of implementing computer training program in Howard University Source: (Kasar &Clark, 2000). Project Management Plan Project Goal The prime objective of this project of Howard University is to generate a culture of professionalism within the students, faculties and staffs so as to improve the productivity as well as the reputation of the organization. Apart from this, the brand image and the financial position of the university may also be enhanced in the long run as compared to others in the market. Not only this, it might also help to create such a friendly type of environment that may be best for the students of all castes and creeds (Kasar &Clark, 2000). Stakeholder Analysis The stakeholders that might get engaged in such a planning program of developing a professional environment within all the staffs, faculties and students of the Howard University are foundation members, board of trustees, staffs, teachers, parents and students. Such type of a planning might become successful only with proper coordination and communication among them in order to fulfill the objectives. For example: Orientation program in the university for the introduction of computer trainings for the students performing researches to improve their technical knowledge and skills on the relevant topics. However, it might be possible only if the relevant teachers offer high level of guidance to these students. With the help of such coordinated efforts, the culture of professionalism may be visualized within all the members and faculties (Kasar &Clark, 2000). Project Requirements In order to implement the computer training program for the research associates, varied types of hardware and new software are essential. Apart from this, an efficient teacher is also essential to guide the students in the proper way. So that it might lead to successful result in the long run. For example: If the students comprising of laptops bring them, at the time of coaching classes, then it might prove effective in reducing the purchase of computers for the university. Then it might be extremely helpful in reducing the financial cost of the organization thereby enhancing its image among other rival colleges. However, this may be possible only if the students and faculties of the university of Howard are extremely close with one –another, otherwise, it might be a feasible idea. Thus, it may be depicted that proper coordination and interpersonal communication among students, faculties and staffs might help in improving the scope of operational and financial decision making processes (Kasar &Clark, 2000). Project Deliverables: In order to implement a new project plan within an organization, varied types of deliverables are essential. These deliverables are most often tangible in nature such as computers, room space, electricity connection, hardware’s, software, note pads, teaching boards, markers and many others. However, to present all these requirements, a huge amount of finance is also essential for the University of Howard. But it may be easily reduced only through proper coordination of the students and the staffs and faculties. If the students and the faculties are joined in a single bond of trust and culture, then every task may be easily achieved (Donnelly & Strife, 2004). Not only this, joint effort might prove effective results both for the university and the students as well. So, a culture of professionalism among students and faculties are extremely essential to maintain the portfolio of the University in the long run (Donnelly & Strife, 2004). Risk Management There is always a risk associated with any sort of new plans as it might present positive or negative impacts as well. So, in order to reduce any sort of risks, it is essential to maintain proper coordination among all of its members. Hence, in case of the Howard University, desiring to implement a computer training program for the research associates, proper orientation is extremely essential. Through orientation, the desire of every student, faculties and staffs may be discussed with one-another resulting in evaluation of these facts. By proper evaluation, the positive as well as the negative impacts of the ideas may be analyzed. Along with this, varied types of new ideas like “bringing all types of essential requirements by the students itself essential for the training program such as note book, laptops, pen, etc”, might surely reduce the financial budget and increase the effectiveness of the project. Therefore, it might be stated that all these types of desires need to be presented within an orientation program so that it may be approved by everyone (Cooley, n. d.). Dependencies: The entire success of any project or new idea or plan is dependent over the members playing an active role. In this report, the plan of implementing a computer training program for the research associates may be success only if both the students and the faculties and staffs join their hands with one-another and work as a single group. This means, without a professional coordination or engagement, no program or plan may not become successful. A joint or coordinated effort might surely offer fruitful results to the plan (Koechlin & Zwaan, 2006). Constraints: The most important constraint of the computer training program, of the Howard University is improper coordination among the faculties, students and staffs. If they do not work in a coordinated way, then it may never become fruitful in long run. Conclusion: Conclusively, it might be depicted that with the help of coordinated efforts, the brand image as well as reputation of the organization might become enhanced. Thus, coordination may be possible only with the help of a unique mind-set and proper communication facilities within the faculties, students and staffs. This is the root cause, to create a professional culture within an organization (Howard University), in which both sides (students and faculties and staffs) work for a unique aim or objective.
