Television usage in China provides interesting statistics. Nearly 30 percent of television viewers are in the age group of 26 to 20 years, a target considered ideal for advertisers. Nearly 91 percent of the Chinese population watches television for some other purposes (Millward, 2013).Chinese reality television highlights an important fact and shows how reality televisions have impacted China's culture and have resulted in the adoption of strategies based on localization and globalization of media.

The different research conducted to date looks at finding out the macro-institutional perspective on Chinese media from the economic and political angle. Not much research has been carried out to find how globalization pressure impacts the Chinese media context, especially television, through different reality programs. This will help to focus on areas that have led towards the adoption of localization and the globalization approach in the media context.The user base was divided between 57 percent male and 43 percent female, with 88 percent active on at least one reality show.

An important feature is that each user follows at least 8 brands, and 43 percent are interested in products shared by friends. Their shopping decisions or services influence nearly 38 percent of Chinese internet users by recommendations they check on television network (Go Globe, 2013).Purpose of the StudyThe purpose of the study is to provide a descriptive overview of the impact reality television has on China's culture and the strategy adopted by the media based on localization and globalization strategies.

The research will be mostly carried out from secondary resources and will analyze past data and results to understand the impact reality television has on China. The research will aim to understand the different complexities that the situation presents in developing reality format adaptation, which involves the localization of global media texts.
