Communication in 2024 Name Institution Date Communication in 2024 Communication is the process where all individual can impact or exchange information or the act of transferring information from one form of either verbal messages, written word or any subject (Werner, 2010). In the earlier times, many disabled persons were neglected to the daily activities that were being carried on. The art of communication was subjected only to those persons who were perfectly and they can go about the communication process effectively. The artefact below shows how communication has been enhanced among cerebral palsy victims. An artefact showing a cerebral palsy tutor conducting a class lecture in college. Communication of a cerebral palsy It has been a norm mostly in the society not to accept disabled personality as part of a normal individual to tackle their daily activities (Michael, 2013, p. 474). Many disable people has been segregated in the society pending the rare rumour that they cannot live to do what a normal person can perfect in life. A person who has cerebral palsy cannot communicate effectively as a normal person does. While speaking, a person with cerebral palsy has inconsistent speech hence they take a longer time to speak out than a normal person. In order to achieve the vision 2024 for a free communication among the disabled persons there should be a clear structure that will ensure all people with cerebral palsy are given a chance as normal person to communicate in conferences and lecture rooms effectively (Michael, 2013, p. 474). This artefact showing a cerebral palsy tutor conducting a class lecture shows a consideration in achieving better and effective communication strategies by 2014. Production of the artefact The production of this artefact was in place to depict how disabled persons can also act and perform activities same as the normal people will do. This artefact show a cerebral palsy tutor conducts a lecture in a class as he communicates with his students effectively (Michael, 2013, p. 475). Disabled individuals are part and parcel of the normal human beings practices and they should be offered a chance to a free flow of same activities as all individuals do. Even though disabled human beings cannot perfectly do what normal individuals do, in the part of achieving vision 2024 in communication process among all people concrete strategies should be displayed so as to achieve the set vision in communication for the next ten years so as to image the future (Michael, 2013, p. 475). Audience of the artefact The production of this artefact of a disability person that is a cerebral palsy tutor was aimed to all individuals and organizations in the world (Michael, 2013, p. 477). It was aimed to reveal that also disabled individuals can perform activities exactly as the normal persons can do hence there is no need of segregating disabled persons in any activity. Therefore the audience of this cerebral palsy tutor artefact goes to the large and entire human beings and organization that prefer working out and employing individuals who are physical fit from any impairment (Michael, 2013, p. 477). Physical impaired individual can as well perform all activities effectively hence this artefact emphasizes that they should be offered an opportunity to work out as normal individuals like the cerebral palsy tutor. Message portrayed The cerebral palsy tutor artefact was developed in order to portray various elements that are not observed by many individuals in the world. In order to realize the communication vision for 2024 ten years from now in changing the image of the world, some agents had to introduce the artefact of the cerebral palsy tutor. The message conveyed in it showed that even the physical impaired individuals can be part and parcel of any activities that are normal person is subjected to (Michael, 2013, p. 474). They are supposed to be given a chance to continue and establish themselves as normal individual. The act of communication and interacting between disabled individual that is shown in the artefact will help in changing the image for the next ten years in communication. Having a disability is not anything that anyone can wish to have hence fair treatment should be applicable. Model of the artefact The model of the artefact of the cerebral palsy tutor in a lecture room depicts certain models in social and moral as part of the communication process in any system. In regard to the social model, the artefact shows that they are still and should be treated as a human being who can do any activity like any other individual who is not physical impaired (Michael, 2013, p. 489). Cerebral palsy victims and all physical impaired persons should be given a chance to exercise communication in order to achieve communication image in ten years. There should also be moral consideration to determine what is right and wrong for all individuals while communication process is ongoing (Michael, 2013, p. 480). Conceptual thinking that led to the artefact in relation to relevant theories of communication and the media The idea to develop this cerebral palsy artefact has been triggered about by a variety of relevant theories available in communication and media. According to the theories there have been a number of ideas that were generated in order to exercise fully on the interaction of each individual fully in the society (Christian, 2009, p. 5). According to the theory of societal exchange, it states that there is always a major force in the interpersonal relationships that is intended to satisfy both persons interest. This communication theory has contributed a lot to the conceptual thinking in the creation of the cerebral palsy artefact (Christian, 2009, p. 5). The societal norms and regulations need to be followed hence individual needs to focus on all people without any segregation of physical and mental impaired individuals. The idea to be revealed in this theory is that all individuals’ interests are to be considered since the societal exchange approach views interpersonal exchanges as analogous to the economic exchanges where people will be satisfied when they receive a fair return of self interest (Christian, 2009, p. 5). The concept to create this artefact was also a subject of standpoint theory where it reveals that people are positioned in specific social standpoints and they occupy different places in the societal hierarchy (Werner, 2010). Many individuals view some of the societal situations in a particular face which prompted the creation of this artefact to reveal the situation physical and mental impaired individual go through in the society. This theory worked hand in hand with the communication vision for the next ten years with an advocacy of giving opportunities to all individuals in the society to participate fully (Werner, 2010). Even the individual with cerebral palsy, according to the communication and media standpoint theory proves that they are also subjected to a place in the society to carry on with the daily activities in the society (Werner, 2010). This theory promoted the establishment of the artefact to correct and show direction of what is needed to be done in the society. The conceptualization of the cerebral palsy artefact was also brought forward after a major consideration of the symbolic interaction theory; a theory that is available in the communication and media process (Christian, 2009, p. 9). This process states that people will be motivated to act based on the meaning that they assign people on to them, things and also events. This theory will enable the use of a language that is understandable to others as they create a relationship (Christian, 2009, p. 10). This concept of using disabled individual as an artefact will reveal all those neglected issues to be shown in public for consideration. They should be no more segregation of cerebral palsy victims since they can do any activity same to any normal person (Christian, 2009, p. 10). The use of symbolic interaction theory emphasises on the use of language as a concept to communicate and interact with one another in the society. It allows cerebral palsy victims to have the sense of self which was the concept behind the creation of the artefact that will be used to pass information to all members in accepting them (Christian, 2009, p. 10). The other theory available in the media that was one of the concepts behind the creation of the cerebral palsy artefact is the theory of the cultivation analysis (Werner, 2010). In this theory it prompted the establishment of the artefact as it analysed the communication structure for the next ten years to come to achieve it. The concept was to provide a clear distinction that is relevant to the adoption of the artefact in the society (Werner, 2010). The aim was to show that cultural practices cannot be barriers in segregating cerebral palsy victims from practising any activities in the society. They are to be given chances to impact activities positively as per the cultivation analysis theory of media and communication (Werner, 2010). The last theory in communication and media that was relevant in the availing of the cerebral palsy artefact to be used in the culture so as to give way in giving same chances of individuals in the community is through reinforcement theory (Christian, 2009, p. 15). Through this theory it was applicable for the development of the artefact so as to impact the culture through the reinforcement in accepting cerebral palsy victims to participate fully in the society (Christian, 2009, p. 15). There should be abolishment of societal beliefs that segregates physical and mental impaired victims in the society. Reinforcement of beliefs was one of the concepts used in the creation of the artefact. References Christian, F., 2009.
