Research Methodology on my proposed Project This brief outline explains the methods and procedures planned to adopt in my proposed research project in connection of the 1000 word project proposal synopsis titled that have been submitted already "Involving adolescents in their asthma management improve adherence." The paper is primarily an explanation of my structural approach over the literature review work based on the given guidelines. Order#: 152365 Deadline: 2007-02-11 22:14 Style: APA Language Style: English UK Pages: 4 Sources: 5 Writer ID: 6746 As the Wikipedia: the free encyclopedia describes "Literature review is a body of text that aims to review the critical points of current knowledge on a particular topic" I too plan to work on the same line with an emphasis of quality work. Quite often associated with science-oriented literature the literature review generally precedes a research proposal, methodology and results section. The ultimate goal is to bring the reader up to date with current literature on a topic and forms the basis for another goal, such as the justification for future research in the area. Therefore the encyclopedia argues that a good literature review is characterized by: a logical flow of ideas; current and relevant references with consistent, appropriate referencing style; proper use of terminology; and an unbiased and comprehensive view of the previous research on the topic. According to Cooper (Guide For Literature Reviewy,1988) "a literature review uses as its database reports of primary or original scholarship, and does not report new primary scholarship itself. The primary reports used in the literature may be verbal, but in the vast majority of cases reports are written documents. The types of scholarship may be empirical, theoretical, critical/analytic, or methodological in nature. Second a literature review seeks to describe summaries, evaluate, clarify and/or integrate the content of primary reports". Introduction: The common idea regarding my dissertation compilation is the collection of data, their comparative study, rationality of the forwarded arguments, and a broader analysis of the facts in empirical evidences via the scientific investigation. This Research Methodology also refers to the hypothetical assumptions that underlie a particular study in the area of respiratory care with a special reference to teenagers presented in APA style within generally acceptable epistemological views. The project work, apart from stylistic and evident aspects it would be methodologically diverse using exclusively qualitative methods. An attempt will seriously follow to match the methods and the approach in finding out the solutions while addressing the issues. Validity: In order to answer the research questions keeping the purpose of the study intact, a serious attempt has been designated for a methodical approach considering the validity of the derived information. Only up to date findings are under consideration that is relevant to current practices and are active in clinical decision making. All the findings in the intensive reading avoid every kind of plagiarism. History: Despite the fact there could be new guidelines there would be no chance of alteration of research groundings. My study will find out both medical approach and other value base prevention of asthma among the adolescents in managing the adherence. Adequate empirical evidences will be collected so that no conclusion any threat to the validity of their publication. Target Population: Being my proposed work a literature review it involves extensive reading to compare, collate and reach into solid conclusion. My project would be structured as the following step by step presentation while finding out facts of the adolescents that are victimized of asthmatic ailment from the minute reading of factual reports. Generalisability: The objective of my research would be to find out the situations that lead the sufferings and their possible remedies recommended by the experts in the field through the literature review. Since we can't generalize one particular phenomenon into a wider world of reality; therefore the study would base on multiple terrestrial and occupational hazards leading to asthmatic problem. As my research proposal states that the age group of targeted patients is 12 years, the findings definitely apply to the global population of that age group in the medical study of my reading based research work. I strongly feel that each information obtained from the literature review needs to explain how this research relates to previous theory and practices of asthmatic care among the adolescents. Sample Size: The sample size would be adequate to carry to investigative an analytical report out of the prescribed literatures. In addition to the prescribed books I have planned to keep a wide range of journals and other relevant books in my reading list along with world wide web pages. Data Collection: Each data will be placed in separate appendices. Certain facts and figures will be presented in tables and their short illustrations without cluttering the body of the reports with the data. Originality would be my only priority in data collection. Like every research work, my project will strive to develop a logical conclusion making the data available in a clear format. The analytical information is organized to present in a report mode. Reliability: The literature review would relate the previous theory and practices. The approach would be positive. However, criticism will be constructive enough to disprove the past claims if any in the discourse of the study in the field of asthmatic care. Similarly, every criticism if any, will be presented in logical, constructive and rational point of view in precise explanation. The theme may only be elastically of different dimension into a diversified zone if circumstances compel to review facts in the light of comparative study of the subject matter. However the standpoint would essentially remain persuasive. Language and style: This project is structured in the following steps such as Title page, Index page, Preface, Constants Page, Information and analysis, Conclusions, Reference with Bibliography and the Acknowledgement of each Resource. Word processor in Arial 12 with double line spacing will be applied in APA format to carry out my review. The narratives will be compiles in third person representation with appropriate heading and their sub-headings. A special care will be taken to the consistent referencing, lay out design and use of tables while using short sentences Conclusion: The order of progression is worked out in a systematic follow up procedures independently from home. The reports are planned to present in precise but easy to comprehend language with identical headings. The resources of referring the medical journals and other theories in application are expected to denote with brief relevance with the study. The project report will highlight the objectives of the study, how it was carried out, analysis of the observations, bringing a gist of the findings in individual content pagination. .Source Creswell, J.
