This research paper indicates some of the literature attesting that this is true (Andersen and Taylor 34). Family is the most influential system on how people think, feel and act in the society. It plays a big role in shaping the manner in which individuals behave in the society. As people grow, they learn many things from their families that are beneficial to their societies. The things and lessons they learn as they grow come from parenthood and the way they react with their parents and other family members.

 Family is an important unit where people acquire most of the behaviors they portray in the society (Giddens and Griffiths 41). People obtain most of their behavioral and thought patterns from childhood encounters, and continue exhibiting those patterns even in adulthood. Family is the first unit where children have continuous contact and the first base in which patterns of socialization develops. The holistic development of a child is influenced by the interpersonal relationships with family members.

Children brought up in peaceful families tend to maintain a feeling of safety in the society even when they grow up to adulthood. Children growing up in families that have poor relationships among members, especially the parents, have high chances of having feelings of insecurity. These children develop mistrust towards anybody in the society (Giddens and Griffiths 39). Structure of the family determines the manner in which a person behaves in the society. The structure also influences the way the person thinks about others within the same social setting.

Individuals raised by two parents, that is, father and mother with good relations performs well in most of the things they do such as studying (Chambers 92).
