As it is told in the free online encyclopedia Broadband in telecommunications is a term that refers to a signaling method that includes or handles a relatively wide range of frequencies that may be divided into channels or frequency bins.

So the broadband must be understood depending on the contest this term is utilized with. In radio technology, it may be described as a very narrowing signal which carries Morse code. In recent years the number of internet users has grown drastically.  Today, the majority of residential Internet users access the Internet via the same telephone line with the help of a traditional communicator. . A personal computer equipped with a modem is used to hook into an Internet dial-up connection provided (for a fee) by an Internet service provider (ISP) of choice.

The modem converts analog signals (voice) into digital signals that enable the transmission of "bits" of data. Nowadays most entrepreneurs have broadband access in their offices. The major challenge remaining for the internet specialists to address is providing broadband to consumers in their homes. Currently, about 4 or five percent of the users have domestic broadband access. To provide the consumers with high-speed internet access several technologies are used as it is described by the authors of the article mentioned in the previous article there are cable, digital subscriber line, and some other ones.

Each technique has its disadvantages and advantages and they compete with each other and this competition bases on such factors as performance, price-quality of service., geographic factors. In my work, I will evaluate such systems as hybrid fiber-coax. Digital subscriber line, broadband power line and The cable technology is affected via the cable which was primarily used for telecommunication. The speed is quite rapid and varies from 3 to 10 million bit second (download speed) and as for the upload it may be affected with the speed from 128 thousand bits per second (Kbps) to 10 Mbps.

Data transmission over Cable TV networks has the advantage that where the coaxial cable is in good condition and RF amplifiers exist (or can be installed) to extend the network reach, relatively high bandwidths can be provided to the end-user without distance limitations. As for the disadvantages, the speed may diminish at the peak hours when too many customers use the network at the same time.
