number TOURISM Site Choice We are going to conduct our meeting in Anaheim, the Orange County, and we have settled to for this option due to its various attractive locations. The city has a number of airport and other airstrips that convenience our flight travelling from other regions into this city, a highly controlled traffic system which has reduced traffic delays. The administration of the town has put in place high levels of security that assures the tourists among other visitors and immigrants of their safety. It has a number of extensive malls and other departmental stores where people around can walk in for to do shopping and other activities within the city. The city has well-established metrological sites and stations that give reliable predictions on matters concerning weather and other climatic factors to the people (MacHatton, Dyke & Steiner, 14). This has been very relevant and attracted our groups as well since we will get able to plan for some of our recreational activities that we may be willing to indulge ourselves with. In this city, we have chosen to conduct our meeting in the Anaheim Convention and Orange Centre, below are diagrams of the hotel, retrieved from www.anaheimconvention/orangesentre.com Google Search. This particular hotel is a suitable site for our group and its convention because it can meet some of our group needs. It has proved to offer the most and high standards of comfortability that we are seeking at the most favorable costs. The hotel has a number of convection campuses including the Grand Plaza, Hilton Anaheim, Anaheim Marriott and Anaheim Convention Centre, which have well-defined functions and at walkable distances. One of these campuses offers some opportunities for alfresco dining, concerts, reception, exhibitions and meetings, as well as getting into a versatile position that it can offer both indoor and outdoor events. Below diagrams are some of the convection campuses of the hotel, retrieved from www.anaheimconvention/orangesentre.com Google Search. Due to the group size, our planned activities, the general budget for the different activities we are going to hold, the hotel has proved to be the most convenience for us. Our group members have identified themselves with some of their best traditional dishes that they would like to take when in this meeting. These particular traditional dishes get provided in this at very affordable rate and are well prepared by highly qualified and experienced chefs around the world. The hotel has a lot of spacious conference facilities that will enable our group to conduct its conference meetings, presentations and other exhibitions. Site Description Climate In the convention centre, there are always hot and cold days but we are planning to hold our meeting there during the hot days, expecting no rainfall. By seeking from weather information from the hotel’s weather forecasts, they provided us with some of the expected weather elements of that particular period. Between these periods, there will be daily average temperature of 57-degree fare height, 84% humidity, 7.0 miles of visibility, 29.95 miles and 0 out of 12 UV (Aluri, Ajay & Radesh , 12) . These expected weather conditions from the hotel will get in line with our outdoor events that we are planning to have while at the hotel. Transportation While in the city, there are four major airports from which you can select your desired pricing and routing in the process of accessing the hotel. They include Orange County’s John Wayne Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Long Beach Airport and Ontario International that provide as many options as possible while accessing the hotel using airway means. There is an airport shuttle that takes the visitors among others to the hotel, but this transportation service is offered at a given price though discounted to some extent (Business Editors, 23). While getting to the city, some planes and other cabs provided by the hotel, at some costs, are available and can always be hired depending on the duration of time to spend in the city. Number of Rooms in the Hotel The hotel has over 50,000 hotel rooms that are well equipped to meet the rising needs of the clients, and a full-service property with diversity in terms of offering the meeting space. One campus of the hotel has over 20,000 rooms with over 4,000 rooms located in Anaheim Convention Centre and is at a walking distance. These rooms are well furnished, spacious, highly ventilated and equipped with all the indoor facilities that enhance comfort while conducting meetings and other indoor activities. Below diagrams are some of the pictures of the guest and meeting rooms of the hotel. Select Features and Amenities offered in the Hotel Rooms All the guest rooms and suites of the hotel has stylish, contemporary designed and elegant amenities having plush-top mattresses, refrigerators, water dispensers, microwaves and complimentary WIFI, sofa bed and two 37-inch flat-screen HDTVs. There are a number of dining options in the hotel which offer a range of delicious cuisine, done by best chefs and prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Restaurants and Bars in the Hotel The hotel has a number of restaurants and bars including Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar, the Earl of Sandwich and Rainforest Café among others. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen specializes in the preparation of kitchen and other ostrich dishes, ranging from fry, deep fried, boiled, and cooked served with other dishes in line with customers’ order. Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar, pictured below, offers a lot of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including Everclear, Crown Royal, Gordons- Dry Gin, Absolut Vodka among others (Kumar, 36). The Earl of Sandwich specializes in preparing some of the best delicious sandwiches, which are in line with the request of the client. They have sandwiches of both eggs from ostrich and hens among other edible birds that get consumed. Absolut Vodka offers nearly all the time of drinks including beer and wines that the client can order, and other energy drinks for boosting body energy. The price of these drinks varies from one drink to another, and they are all stocked from different prices so as to meet the need from all the customers of various economic classes (Schubert & Franziska, et al, 25) Meeting Space The hotel has newly constructed hotel and ballrooms, totaling to 130,000 square foot which has occupied the second and third floors above the exhibit halls. The meeting space is directly above the main entrance, and they are flexible designed to accommodate any size meeting with walls that divide the areas into sets of breakout rooms. On-site Event The group is expecting to have some presentation being done by the subgroups of the group members, which we will prefer to use one of the available theatre halls in the hotel. When conducting other group meetings, we are hoping to make use of the conference rooms sine they provide comfortable seats and other facilities for this particular function. Recreational Activity On a Saturday afternoon, the group is planning to take part in swimming where all its group members will be available. The group will put some policy arrangements with the management of the hotel to set aside one of the swimming pools for the group. This due to the panel’s resolution expecting not to share the pool with other swimmers since it will be a pure group activity. Each team member will give out his or her desired meal for the day, during the swimming activity, and other drinks that they will be comfortable will be willing to take. The group will meet the cost of the meals together with the drinks, and for transportation, e will make use of the hotel’s cabs to carry the group members. In terms of preparation, each sub-groups of the general group will be expected to decide on a particular color of their swimming costumes. Upon this, the committee concerned in bringing then swimming costumes will make arrangements with the hotel management to supply us with the costumes. The costumes get hired at some nominal rate, and we have given the total number of the garments required, specifying the exact number both for males and females. In the arrangement with the management, the group will make use of the particular swimming pool selected for the whole afternoon until 9pm in the evening, particularly the one below. When it get late, the management has assured us that it will provide lights around the swimming compounds and the water in the pool will be frequently warmed. The warming will get rid of the low temperatures during the night and evening too, and this will increase the comfortability of the group members in the pool. After the swimming, the management will make a special dinner for the group, and this will get conducted in one of the dining rooms of the hotels. Works Cited Aluri, Ajay, and Radesh Palakurthi.
